Varkala also referred to as The Pearl of the Arabian Sea, may be a municipality within the Thiruvananthapuram district, situated within the Indian state of Kerala. Varkala is home to three of the entire urban population and therefore the most densely populated municipality of the district. it's the headquarters of Varkala Taluk and one among the oldest municipalities of Kerala established in 1980. it's the second-largest coastal city within the district after the capital and northern suburb of Trivandrum City. it's located 36 kilometers north of Trivandrum, which is that the capital and largest metropolitan city of Kerala and 28 km south of Kollam City. Varkala Beach also referred to as Papanasam Beach, maybe a haven for sunbathers and people who enjoy being within the water.
