Chikmagalur, a small town amid the Western Ghats is one of the tranquil places in Karnataka. Coorg is cool misty town amidst the mountains in Karnataka with lush green hills and surroundings.

Bangalore has many palaces, gardens, and famous temples. The city is popular for its vibrant nightlife. Chikmagalur presents you various attractions like mountains, forested covered hills, waterfalls, trekking trails, temples, etc. This hill town is a calm serene place in Karnataka. You can enjoy activities like camping, trekking, mountain biking, and hiking. Coorg presents you the beautiful mist covered hills in South India. The place is popular for its coffee plantation and production. Activities like river rafting and trekking are available in Coorg.
Arrival at Bangalore. Our cab driver will pick you up and take you to the hotel. In the afternoon proceeds to Lal Bagh for a city tour. Spread over 240 acres with around 1800 of plants, this garden is the most popular and internationally recognized garden in India. You can also visit Cubbon Park, Iskcon Sri Krishna Temple, Vidhan Soudha in the evening. In the night, proceed to your hotel for the overnight stay.
After having your breakfast resume your Bangalore city tour. Stop by Gavi Gangadhareshwara temple which is a 16th-century rock cut temple with wonderful architecture. There are a number of amazing sculptures in the temple. The Bangalore fort built in 1537 has a lot of historical importance. Bangalore Palace, St. Mary’s Basilica, Indira Gandhi Park, Government Aquarium, Nandi Temple, amusement park, etc. are the other major attractions in Bangalore. Later in the evening go shopping at Commercial Street in Shivaji Nagar. At night, return to your hotel for the stay.
After having your breakfast, depart to your next destination Chikmagalur which is in a 4-hour travel distance from Bangalore. Once you reach the place, check in to your hotel and rest for some time. And in the afternoon you can visit Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple in the banks of River Bhadra.
Later, go to Kudremukh National Park amid the mountains and waterfalls. Hebbe falls is 168 m tall amazing waterfall in the Kemmanagundi hills. Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka where you can enjoy sunset and activities like trekking, camping, mountain biking etc. After the visit, go back to your hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, in the morning you can visit the 12th century Veera Narayana Temple built by the Hoysala Kings. This mystical temple attracts the tourists with its appealing ancient architecture. The Sringeri Sharada Peetham is an 8th-century monastery built by Adi Shankara on the banks of Tunga river. Stop by the Coffee Museum run by the coffee board of India to see the art of coffee making.
In the afternoon go to the Z point which is a steep hill where you can witness all the beauty of Western Ghats. Hirekolale Lake, Baba Budangiri, Bhadra wildlife sanctuary, Bhadra Dam, Kallathigiri falls, Sharadamba temple, Belur, etc are other places in Chikmagalur where you can pay a visit.
In the morning, after breakfast, you’ll proceed to the next destination Coorg which is about 110 km away from Mysore. On your way, you can visit the Kushalnagar Golden Temple and Tibetan Colony to get acquainted with the Tibetan Culture and lifestyle. The Tibetan Golden temple is marvelous with gold statues of three forms of Buddha.
Kaveri Nisargadhama forest park is a weekend getaway park in dense forest on an island formed by the river Kaveri. You can reach this place through a hanging bridge. Elephant safari is available in this park. Later you can visit Dubare Elephant Camp, enjoy boating and river rafting and watch elephants getting trained. After the day’s visit, you can check in to your hotel and rest for the night.
After breakfast, embark for your journey to Talakaveri where the river Kaveri originates. River Kaveri is considered to be one among the seven sacred rivers. This is a famous religious spot in Brahmagiri hill in Coorg with a small Kaveri Amma temple. The Bhagamandala Triveni Sangam is where the three rivers Kaveri, Sujyothi, and Kanike meets. This place is also considered to be sacred. The Sri Bhagandeshwara temple beside the Sangam makes this place more religious.
Afternoon you can visit the Raja seat which is a place where the Kings in Kodagu came to enjoy the sunrise and sunset and Abbey falls, the 70 feet tall amazing waterfall. The other attractions in Coorg you can visit are the Omkareshwara temple, Nagarhole National park, Tadiandamol peak, etc.
Return back to your hotel in the evening and overnight stay at Coorg.
After breakfast, proceed to Mangalore for your return journey. Local sightseeing is available on your way back. You can visit the Bejai Museum near the Mangalore railway station which has a large collection of ancient artifacts. Rosario Cathedral that resembles the St. Peter’s Basilica with its Roman architecture is also located nearby the railway station. The other attractions in Mangalore that you can visit if you have time are Kudroli temple, St. Aloysius Chapel, and Tannirbavi beach.
