Itinerary

Day 1MUNNAR

Arrive at Cochin international airport or the nearest railway station. From there, our cab driver will pick you up and take you to Munnar, the most romantic hill station of Kerala. Sights on the way include CHEEYAPPARA and VALARA WATERFALLS. Cheeyappara waterfall is on your way 45km before you reach Munnar. Rock on which fall flows forms seven steps on the way, making the waterfall a spectacular vision by water pounding on each layer. And in a 12 km distance before Munnar, you can see Valara falls from the highway itself. The waterfall is covered by thick forest and rocky hills which make it hard to access the fall. Once you reach Munnar, check in to your hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 2MUNNAR

After breakfast, our cab driver will take you towards the rolling hills around Munnar. This morning you can go hiking up to the Eco-point, Kundala Lake, Mattupetty Dam, and also boating.

And in the afternoon visit Eravikulam National Park and the Tea Museum in the middle of the vast plantation. The park will be closed from February to April as it is the breeding season of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.

Evening Sightseeing continues to Hydel park and Munnar market if you have more time and energy. And at nightfall, you’ll be taken back to the resort for the overnight stay.

Day 3THEKKADY

On the third day after having your breakfast, your driver will take you to Thekkady which is 120 km away from Munnar. Thekkady is well-known for its tea and cardamom plantations. The beauty of Thekkady lies in the lap of PERIYAR LAKE especially PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY (our advised timings 1:45 pm or 3:30 pm on that same day or next day morning 7:30 am). Other attractions and activities in Thekkady include Kathakali and Kalaripayattu (ancient dance and martial art forms) and elephant safari. After the day’s visit, you’ll be driven back to the hotel/resort for overnight stay.

Day 4HOUSEBOAT

After breakfast, you’ll depart for your next adventure- Kettuvallam. This is a houseboat completely made of bamboos held together with coir knots. With furnished bedrooms, kitchen, washrooms, and other facilities, Kettuvallam is a small adorable house on the backwaters. You can check in on a Kettuvallam at 12 pm and check out at 9 am. On the daytime take a ride through the backwater and explore the unscathed beauty of rural Kerala. And spent the night floating on the water in this amazing bamboo home. Food will be served on the houseboat. A trip to gods owns country without a night in the Kettuvallam is actually half-done.

Day 5DEPARTURE FROM COCHIN (AIR /RAIL)

This morning after breakfast our cab driver will take you to the mini metro city of Kerala- Cochin. This city is called the queen of the Arabian Sea. Cochin present before you the remnants from her renowned days as you move through Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, Old Spice market, St.Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica, and Chinese Fishing Nets. Kochi has historical as well as the modernized importance since one part of the city is rapidly developing while history resides on the other.

After the day’s visit, the cab driver will drop you at the Cochin airport or railway station according to guest departure timings.
